Norm Miller has served as the Coordinator for Community-Based
Learning for Lindsey Wilson College since the Fall of 2010.
He came to Lindsey Wilson College as a volunteer with the
Americorps VISTA program with the goal to help encourage economic
growth and sustainability in south central Kentucky.
Norm is a graduate of Concord University in Athens, WV where he
earned his Bachelor of Arts in 2006. Norm then moved on to
become the news anchor for the 5:00 P.M. newscast at WVVA-TV in
Bluefield, WV. After three very successful years in the
broadcasting industry, he decided to pursue his passion for
non-profit work and took a position as the Public Relations
Director for Mountainheart Community Services. While this
fulfilled his need to give back to the community, he felt he could
achieve an even greater "hands-on" experience with the non-profit
sector and signed on with the Americorps program.
My goal is to support the vision of the Center for Entrepreneurship
and in the process empower students to pursue entrepreneurial
achievements. I believe the entrepreneurial spirit is alive
and well in Kentucky and our students at Lindsey Wilson College are
the future business leaders of this state and country.
In his free time Norm enjoys playing racquetball, disc golf, and
traveling, especially to visit his family back in his home state of
Maine.
