Program Distinctions

The Master of Education Teacher as Leader at Lindsey Wilson College is a 30 credit hour program that can be completed online. When students enter the program, each master's candidate designs the curriculum schedule for program completion.  This can be done in one to three years with graduate students taking one to three semester long classes (3 - 9 hours of course work) each semester.   The practitioner-based curriculum is designed to be offered through online instruction and includes scheduled weekly meetings for each course to provide interaction with the instructor and other candidates in the course.  Cluster meetings are scheduled once each semester at common sites near the graduate student's school.  A faculty field coordinator also visits the graduate students in their school each semester to coordinate field work and action research projects.

The LWC Teacher as Leader Program offers the convenience of online learning eliminating travel, while retaining the personal contact with the course instructor and fellow graduate students.
