Identity Verification
Lindsey Wilson
College verifies the identity of students in its online courses by
1) delivering courses though a platform that requires the use of a
College issued identification number and password and 2) by
requiring that one or more exams be taken in a proctored
environment. During the proctored exam, the student will be
asked to display a picture ID. At the discretion of the
instructor, proctoring may be done virtually through
Tegrity, a program provided by the College, or in a
face-to-face environment on the campus at which the student
normally studies or at a location that has been approved by
the College. If proctoring is done through Tegrity, the
student must have a webcam. Most laptops include webcams or they
can be purchased for as little as $10.
