AR3TS! Rhyme, Reason, &
Rhythm
Students who join the AR3TS!
Learning Community, benefit from social programming, academic
programming, and shared classes that consider issues and content
important to exploring the arts as a career or means of personal
expression. .
Who Can Join?
All incoming freshmen who are interested in performing and
fine arts - music, art, theatre - as areas to study in College or
as activities (choir, theatre, band) to participate in while
pursuing a major in another area are encouraged to participate in
this learning community. All students are welcome!

- Freshman Seminar (Susan Minton, Gerald Chafin)
- Design and Color (Lori Sargent)
- Musical Masterworks (Bob Reynolds)
- Writing I or II (Joanne Waller)
What service projects will the
AR3TS! members do?
The members of the AR3TS! Learning
Community will participate in art and music projects related to
Homeplace, a nearby historic farm.
What other special activities are planned?
AR3TS! Members
will have the opportunity to work with campus theatre productions,
and participate in musical performances or art shows. Field
trips to attend arts events off campus will also be planned.
