Trained as a Nuclear Power Plant (Electrical) Operator by the U.S. Navy, Dennis Crump served aboard a 640-class submarine.  As the Ship's Protestant Lay Leader, he conducted religious services at sea and taught weekly Bible studies in port.  Later, while serving in the naval reserves, his duties included providing instruction on a range of topics related to submarine engineering (electrical systems, radiation safety, etc).

Dr. Dennis Crump has served as a pastor at various churches in the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church for more than thirteen years and was involved in ministry at a nondenominational church for three years.  He now teaches at Lindsey Wilson College and is currently the pastor of Edmonton United Methodist Church in Edmonton, Ky.  In 2007, Dr. Crump authored a devotional book entitled Approaching the Holy: A Season in God's House.

Dr. Crump and his wife, Kathryn Crump, have been married for over thirty years and have three children.  They reside in Edmonton, Kentucky.
