Director of Residence Life
The Director of Residence Life is a full-time LWC employee
who is responsible for the daily operations of the Department of
Residence Life. The Director of Residence Life's responsibilities
include: coordination of the residence life program, lead all
members of the residence life staff, ensure effective management of
all facilities, assist the Dean of Students Office, enforce Lindsey
Wilson College and Residence Life Policy, and work the LWC
administration, faculty and staff.
Residence Life Area Coordinators
Residence life area coordinators are full-time LWC employees
who are responsible for providing safe, comfortable residence halls
and apartments. Coordinators' responsibilities include: developing
community on campus; organizing hall councils; developing programs
for residents; and maintaining an environment conducive to
students' academic, social, and personal success. Coordinators also
supervise the Residence Life professionals and student staffs;
enforce Residence Life policy; oversee the housing process; and
work with the LWC administration, faculty and staff.
Resident Directors (RDs)
Resident directors are full-time LWC employees who are responsible
for the management, leadership and supervision of primarily
freshmen residence halls. RDs goals include developing an
environment conducive to academic, social, and personal success of
each student. RDs also advise residence hall councils; help with
community programming; work on adjudication of disciplinary cases;
and assist the housing processes. Residents are encouraged to
consult with their RD for advice and information about campus
issues.
Apartment Managers
Apartment managers are LWC students who are responsible for
providing safe and comfortable apartments. Apartment managers'
responsibilities include developing a sense of community in the
apartments; developing programs for the residents; and maintaining
an environment conducive to each resident's academic, social and
personal success. Residents are encouraged to consult the apartment
manager for advice and information about campus-related
matters.
Resident Assistants (RAs)
Resident assistants are upperclass students who have been selected
to assist other students with living on campus. RAs help with the
overall administration of the residence halls and apartments, and
they are excellent resources. An RA lives on each floor or wing of
a residence hall and also in apartment areas.
