Allison Bullins has been named a Freshman Advisor. Her office is in
the T.D. &
Rowena Everett Building, which is in the
background.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Allison Bullins knew she
wanted to work at Lindsey Wilson College after seeing the
experience her sister, April, had as a student at the college.
"I was very impressed with the way she was treated by the
college throughout the admissions process," Allison Bullins said of
her sister, who will be a sophomore this fall at LWC.
Allison Bullins has been named an LWC Freshman Advisor. As
Freshman Advisor, Bullins joins the six-member LWC Academic Success Center. The Academic Success
Center houses the college's Freshman Year Experience, peer tutoring
program, developmental education and two computer labs. It also
assists with students' other academic needs.
Before coming to Lindsey Wilson, Bullins had a similar position
at Eastern Kentucky University, where she was a graduate assistant
in the university's Office of First Year Programs.
"It was a natural transition for me to come to this job at
Lindsey Wilson," she said. "I like Lindsey Wilson's small-college
atmosphere. Also, as a Lindsey Wilson staff member, I have an
opportunity to be involved across the campus and not be
pigeon-holed into one area of the college."
A native of Richmond, Ky., Bullins earned a bachelor's degree in
education and a master's degree in instructional leadership from EKU.
"Allison's experience in EKU's first-year program greatly
benefits LWC as she brings a new, fresh perspective to our approach
of providing freshmen the best experience possible at LWC," said
Freshman Year Experience Benson Sexton.
