COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Almost 100 aspiring
entrepreneurs packed the Lindsey Wilson College Norma and Glen
Hodge Center for Discipleship Thursday afternoon for the
Third-Annual Entrepreneurial and Career Expo.
Sponsored by the LWC Center for Entrepreneurship, the event invited
LWC students from all disciplines to propose a business concept,
which was evaluated by three judges for three top cash prizes that
Guests were also to vote for a "fan favorite" proposal
via Twitter using the hashtag #lwcexpo.
At total of 34 exhibits by 93 students were entered into
The expo's major of focus was communication, so it
featured a keynote talk by Kate Matthews, who is compliance
coordinator in athletics services at the University of
The expo's sponsor was 1994 LWC alumnus Pash
Nangia, who is vice president of finance and information
technology for a division of Ametek Inc. of Knoxville, Tenn., a leading
global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical
