Professor Discusses Arizona Shootings

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- In the wake of the Jan. 8
shootings in Tuscon, Ariz., in which U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords
was gravely wounded, Associate Professor of Sociology and
Criminal Justice Daniel Phillips was interviewed by several
Kentucky media outlets to help put the issue in perspective.
Phillips, who is an expert on the U.S. corrections system, is
also coordinator of LWC's criminal justice program.
