Lindsey Wilson College Education Students Read
Stories, Donate Books to Local School Children -- Christmas came
early on Wednesday for children at two Adair County schools and one
education center.
A dozen students from the Lindsey Wilson College
Kentucky Education Association-Student Program visited Adair County
Elementary School, Colonel William Casey School and the Adair
County Head Start Center.
The Lindsey Wilson students read a story to the
preschool and kindergarten students at the Adair County schools,
and then they gave each student a book. They also gave each
classroom library four books, along with a stuffed animal from a
story by Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. Many of the
classroom's the LWC students visited were taught by LWC
alumni.
The students held several fund-raisers this fall
semester to collect more than $600 to purchase the books for the
students. The LWC KEA-SP chapter is advised by LWC Associate
Professor of Education Melissa Saunier-Arnold.
