Lindsey Wilson College Football Welcomes 13 Commitments to 2009 Class

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College football program has added 13 commitments for the 2009-10 school year, the school announced on Monday.

The commitments will redshirt during the upcoming season as the Blue Raiders get set to kick off their inaugural season in the NAIA and the Mid-South Conference in 2010.

The 13 future Blue Raiders join the other commitments to bring the total of 56 committed to Lindsey Wilson head coach Chris Oliver.

"Our recruiting efforts have continued to be productive throughout the spring. To add 13 more young men of this caliber in late April and early May is a great achievement for our program," Oliver said."We've reached a point where we have enough student-athletes on the roster to conduct full spring practices during the 2009-10 school year.This will only help in the development of our program as we move towards kickoff on September 4th, 2010.

"At this point our recruiting for this class is almost complete. We've narrowed our sights towards a few remaining prospects, and we've already started the recruiting process for next year's class."

Lindsey Wilson's first game is scheduled for Sept. 4, 2010, at home.
