2016-17 Cultural Affairs Series Offers 25 Events to the Region

Posted on Friday, September 23, 2016 [12:37 PM]

COLUMBIA, KY. -- The Ron Jones Jazz Quartet kicked off the 2016-17 Cultural Affairs Series Friday evening to a packed house in the W.W. Slider Humanities Recital Hall on Lindsey Wilson College's A.P. White Campus.

In addition to The Ron Jones Jazz Quartet, Lindsey Wilson College will hold more than 25 cultural affairs events from September through May for the 2016-2017 school year.

The series will include concerts, recitals, talks and other special events. It will also feature productions of The Zoo Story, Doubt, Love/Sick, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and more by the Lindsey Wilson Theatre Department.

"As part of Lindsey Wilson's service to Southcentral Kentucky, we are pleased that we can offer these 25 events to members of the community," said LWC Director of Library Services Phil Hanna, who is also cultural affairs chair. "We have a diverse and interesting schedule of events that appeal to everyone."

All events, excluding productions by the LWC Theatre Department, are free and open to the public.

For more information about the 2016-17 Lindsey Wilson Cultural Affairs Series, contact Phil Hanna at hannap@lindsey.edu or (270) 384-8250.
