COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Hall of Fame basketball coach
Don Lane continues the tradition of his legendary basketball camps
this summer at Lindsey Wilson College.
Lane's guard-perimeter-post camps will be held June 28-30 and
June 30- July 2 at Lindsey Wilson.
Lane's camps are designed for players who want to improve their
individual skills at their respective position. The
individual-specialty camps are for both guard, perimeter and post
players. All skill levels are invited.
Skill development, especially shooting, passing, and ball
handling will be emphasized, along with learning how to be a team
leader. Both the overnight and day camps match boys and girls with
other youngsters of similar size and ability.
Lane - after retiring as Transylvania (Ky.) University's
all-time winningest coach - has continued to be involved in
basketball across the nation, serving as a consultant to various
college teams, running camps and clinics, and being a featured
speaker.
Lane, a member of the Kentucky and NAIA Athletic Halls of Fame,
has run one of the largest and most informative basketball camps in
the nation. Since 1976, more than 45,000 campers have completed
Lane's summer program.
Individual instruction, attention to detail, an extremely
positive learning environment, and a genuine love for kids are
reasons the Don Lane Basketball Camp continue to attract numerous
campers each summer.
