COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College is once
again offering its Senior Scholars Program to area senior citizens.
And during a time of economic austerity and belt-tightening, the
price is perfect - free.
As part of the Senior Scholars Program, area citizens who are 62
years or older may take one undergraduate class this fall at no
tuition expense. Senior Scholars must pay for books and supplies
for their class.
The program was created by the Lindsey Wilson Board of Trustees
as a way to show the college's appreciation to the region's senior
citizens.
"Lindsey Wilson is pleased that we can continue to offer the
Senior Scholars Program," said Lindsey Wilson President William T.
Luckey Jr. "Senior citizens bring an interesting and important
perspective to the classes, and our professors enjoy working with
them."
This year's fall semester begins Aug. 17.
