Josh joined the Blue Raiders Sports Medicine staff starting with
the 2011-2012 athletic seasons. Josh came to the staff after
receiving his Master's in Athletic Training from the University of
Tennessee at Chattanooga. Before attending UTC Josh received a BS
in Exercise Science, Physical Education, & Wellness from
Tennessee Technological University.
During school Josh worked extensively with
Athletic Trainers at both UTC and TTU. While at UTC Josh worked
with college and high school athletes including NCAA FCS football
athletes, NCAA D-I basketball athletes, and athletes from the
prestigious Baylor School of Chattanooga. While at TTU, Josh worked
with Athletic Trainers that cared for the NCAA FCS football
team.
Josh's primary responsibilities as Assistant
Athletic Trainer at LWC include include assisting the head Athletic
Trainer with coverage of football practice and competition,
coverage of men's basketball practice and competition, and coverage
of track & field. In addition to coverage of events, treatment
and rehabilitation of LWC student athletes are another
responsibility.
Josh graduated from TTU in 2009 and UTC in 2011.
Josh is a Board of Certification certified Athletic Trainer. Josh
id a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association,
Southeastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and Kentucky Athletic
Trainers' Society. Josh is CPR/AED certified via the American Heart
Association.
