Ashley is a native of Shelbyville Kentucky.
She completed her undergraduate degree from the University of
Kentucky and her Masters in Organizational Leadership.
Before joining Lindsey Wilson College in
2011, Ashley worked at Widener University School of Law in
Wilmington, Delaware where she spent time working with students on
career advising, job searching and professional school development.
Prior to realizing her passion for higher education, Ashley spent a
number of years working for the Walt Disney Company at Walt Disney
World and aboard Disney Cruise Line in Entertainment Operations
where she developed extensive skills in interpersonal and
intercultural communications. She currently serves Lindsey Wilson
College as the Director of Career Services and is also on the High
Impact Initiative and Institutional Effectiveness Task-Forces,
Advisory Council for the Center for Entrepreneurship, Freshman Year
Experience Instructor, L3 Advisory Committee and the AIKCU
Spotlight on Careers Fair planning committee.
Since joining Lindsey Wilson, Ashley began
work with the Center for Entrepreneurship as an effort to encourage
students awareness of the career possibilities with their major
choices in the "What can I do with my Major?" series. She has
enjoyed watching the evolution of students entrepreneurial visions
and fostering that spirit during their tenure at Lindsey Wilson as
they develop their professional career paths. She also serves the
"Pathways" learning community as the Freshman Year Experience
Instructor and Academic Advisor, which was established for the
purpose of incoming freshman student career exploration, college
major section assistance and career related skill building.
Ashley loves the small campus atmosphere of
Lindsey Wilson and helping students bridge the gap between their
educational, athletic and extracurricular experiences and their
career goals. She, her husband Powell, their son Aiden and
dog Sammie reside in Columbia, Kentucky.
