I obtained a bachelors of arts degree in psychology at Pikeville College in 2002. Shortly after graduation I became a counselor for Mountain Comprehensive Care Center in Belfry Kentucky. I worked at MCCC for over six years as an out patient counselor. I have a good working knowledge of group work, as well as, individual counseling. I decided to further my education four years into working at MCCC. I had come to a place in my life when I knew I needed more education in order for me to better serve not only myself, but the populace I served.

I graduated with honors from Lindsey Wilson College, School of Professional Counseling in 2009. It was one of the most rewarding aspects of my life thus far. It wasn't always easy, but it was worth the time and effort I put into it, in order to obtain a masters degree. The superb education I received from LWC is what enabled me to apply for, and obtain, the position as the Logan campus coordinator. I would encourage anyone who is wishing to further their education to do so. It will change your life, and for the better.
